TEAMWORK

We worked together as a team no matter what, so we could easily decide on things like Robot Attachments, our Project, etc.
IMPACT
"We apply what we learn to improve our world!"
We impacted our world with information that could help people, like on SA LIVE, A live TV show, we told 27,000 households about our Gravity Battery!
INNOVATION
"We use creativity and persistence to solve problems!"
One innovative idea we had was to attach quick connects to our robot, that way we can add and remove attachments quickly.
DISCOVERY
"We explore new skills and ideas!"
There is more than one solution to a problem.
INCLUSION
"We respect each other and embrace our differences!"
Inclusion! We all had a chance this year to code and build the robot, as well as make this website and the project notebook! Yes, some of prefer coding instead of building, but we all got a chance to learn new skills.
FUN
"We enjoy and celebrate what we do!"
We dont just meet during robotics but also go to the park and play soccer.
We split up into two teams. 1 & 2.
Team 1 went to one table, and Team 2 went to another.
Lots of paper clips were on each table, and here was the challenge: You have to make the longest paper clip chain you can, but you can only use one hand to do so and you only have 2 minutes!!!
Team 1 did this: one person clips a paper chain one time and then gives it to another person who links them together. It was a slow strategy, and in the end Team 1 only had a 7-clip-long paper clip chain.
Team 2 did this: They all make the longest chain they can and then at the last minute combine all the long chains together. They got a 20-clip-long paper clip chain!
What we learned: When you think of a good idea and work together while supporting your team, everything will work out great!!!
